Of course, the purchased item arrived in promised time and in perfect condition. I expect nothing less from . The book was authored by Arthur C Parker, a Seneca Indian who managed quite adroitly to assimilate into the 19th century State of New York, having himself been born on the Cattaraugus Reservation. The book gives a good overview of the religion of Handsome Lake as well as an excellent and concise history of the life and times of the prophet. The code is clearly translated and thorough. I wish Mr. Parker was still among us so I could thank him personally for his work. I recommend the book TO BE INDIAN, by Joy Porter, a wonderful treatment of the life of Mr. Parker.
